How does frame delay relate to Frames Per Second (FPS)? ▾
Frame delay is measured in milliseconds. Divide 1,000 by your target FPS to find the delay: 100ms = 10 FPS; 50ms = 20 FPS; 33ms ≈ 30 FPS. Typical animated memes and tutorials look great at 100ms–200ms.
Why does GIF format have a 256-color limit? ▾
The GIF89a format specification uses an 8-bit color lookup table (maximum 256 indexed colors per frame). Our generator uses NeuQuant color quantization to produce smooth, visually pleasing color gradients within this limit.
Can I create a looping meme or reaction GIF? ▾
Yes. Leave the loop count set to "0" (Infinite Loop), which is the universal standard for Discord, Twitter, and forum reaction GIFs.
Are my uploaded photos sent to a remote server? ▾
No. Frame assembly and GIF encoding are executed locally inside your browser via web workers using `gif.js`.
